Database Implementations.

Creation of new database environments that make optimal use of server resources to achieve the best response time possible while ensuring new environments follow Oracle best practices. This includes recommendation of the best hardware to support the customer’s needs. We will provide advice on configuration of the hardware (such as defining the best RAID architecture for each environment) and configuration of the OS layer to ensure the database optimizes available resources. Post implementation, different documents will be created to ensure the customer has all needed information about the new instance.

Database Troubleshooting.

Our certified DBAs  have extensive experience addressing very complex database and server problems.  We can help you get to the source of the problem using Oracle tools such as bbed, memory structure dumps, event dumps (10053, 10046, etc).  This is considered a trouble-shooting service is not available as a Fixed Price Engagement.

Database analysis with Health-Check Certificate

With this analysis our team will cover more than 80 different database topics related to the following areas: Core Configuration & Versions plus Backup & Recovery and Security. The result of this analysis is a very detailed document that contains all the necessary information to determine if the database has any critical or major issues and if the configuration of the database follows Oracle best practices for maximizing database uptime and achieving sustainable performance. The analysis concludes with a set of recommendations to address any issues detected during the analysis along with an implementation plan to address each issue accordingly.

EBS analysis with Health-Check Certificate.

When you purchase this analysis, our team will cover more than 80 different database topics related to the following areas: Main Configuration & Versions, Security Configuration, Workflow and Concurrent Managers configuration. The result of this analysis is a very detailed document that contains all necessary information to determine if the EBS implementation is working as expected and if there is room for improvement. When complete, we provide a set of recommendations to address any issues detected during the analysis along with an implementation plan to address each issue accordingly.

Database Security analysis.

This service is a meticulous revision of the database in order to determine if there are any security vulnerabilities that could allow malicious activities in the database. The result of this activity is a detailed document that contains a description of the different topics covered by this analysis along with a set of recommendations on how to address them. This analysis is composed by different sections such as: critical security part updates (Oracle Security Alerts), auditory analysis (audit policy in place), password management, system privileges analysis, object privilege analysis and network configuration security (listener configuration).

Creation of Disaster Recovery and High Availability Environments.

Our DBA Team has extensive experience in creating disaster recovery sites using different approaches such as physical and logical standby databases. We can design these environments to use either Oracle DataGuard or manual shell scripts to administer and monitor the standby environment and to perform any switchover/failover activity whenever needed. Creation of HA techniques such as Oracle Streams, Flashback technologies, Transportable tablespaces, Oracle LogMiner and Oracle Secure Backup.

Oracle RAC Implementation

Let our Oracle RAC team help your with your installation, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting of your Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Oracle Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA). We will implement and configure your RAC environment in record time. Our team’s real life experiences in the administration of Oracle RAC environments (using ASM, OCFS, raw devices and third party clusters) as well as implementation of diverse RAC tasks such as addition/removal of RAC nodes/OCR files and voting disks can be put to work for you  almost immediately.

Database Upgrades / Migrations.

Our team has been upgrading Oracle databases since Oracle 7.3 and have developed efficient methodologies to ensure these activities are performed according to your needs. We include the definition of the migration plan, identification of areas of improvements, test of the plan with two dry runs, troubleshooting of any issue that could arise at any phase of the projects, go-live and documentation of the complete list of activities performed as part of the project.

Database Patching.

Once per quarter, Oracle Support releases a critical patch set that cumulates all the one-off patches generated during the previous quarter. In order to ensure the RDBMS engine is up to date with all these updates, we perform a patch analysis to determine which critical patches must be implemented to address detected issues in the release used by the customer. This activity includes the analysis of the list of patches to implement, applying these patches in a test environment, troubleshooting any issues that may arise, applying them in production environment and generating proper documentation with the information of all the activities performed by our DBAs.

Oracle Enterprise Manager - Grid Control

We provide implementation, configuration and troubleshooting of the all OEM components (OMS, DB-Repository, Agents). We define alerts, monitoring and corrective actions, configuring automated jobs, upgrading each component and documenting the OEM implementation are, among others, some of the activities performed by our personal.

Database Replication

We provide implementation of database replication setups. Our team will implement, setup administration and provide troubleshooting of existing replication schemas between Oracle databases and between and Oracle databases and non-Oracle databases by using different tools such as Oracle Streams, Oracle Advance Replication and third party replication tools.
