Accelrys

We implemented SuccessFactors' SPRAC and SPRAC Compensation products a couple years ago, prior to Symyx's merger with Accelrys.  We remain satisfied with our implementation and plan to continue using their products post-merger.  We selected SuccessFactors because we believed their product would help us achieve our key business objectives of: a shift to pay for performance; a move away from generalized performance reviews to more specific competency based reviews (to use as a development tool for employees); and the writing assistant was key in helping managers develop and provide feedback to direct reports. Ultimately, this implementation has helped us eliminate an old system and enabled us to drive key behaviors across the company.

A key person during our implementation was Lyle, Senior Professional Services Consultant with Aasonn.  Lyle was instrumental in not only helping us understand how best to use the SuccessFactors modules, but also in driving us toward completion of the project within the agreed timeline and budget.  Because of his extensive knowledge and skill specifically with the product and HR business processes in general, he was able to lead the configuration of the modules in a very proactive and educational way for our entire team. He worked to understand our needs and ensure they were met throughout the implementation. We appreciate his tireless commitment to helping us achieve our business goals through this implementation.

Elbit Systems

Elbit Systems was facing a tremendous challenge; we needed to establish accountability for our employees and we needed to tie their compensation directly to their performance. . . and we needed to do it FAST. I had little confidence in our ability to implement and execute a complicated merit review process, especially under an extremely aggressive timeline. The entire team was convinced we were destined to fail. It wasn't until Wes, an Aasonn consultant, was put on our project that we felt we might actually be able to pull it off. Wes invested the time to understand exactly what our challenges were and came up with creative solutions to address them. He took the time to ensure knowledge transfer so that we were confident in our ability to execute on our 2010 merit review process. In fact, he reduced my anxiety to such a low level that he never even had to set foot in our offices to get things done. Health Care REIT, Inc.

Health Care REIT, Inc. recently purchased the SuccessFactors Professional Edition performance review program. A key business driver for selecting SuccessFactors was that their product speeds up the process and ensures accuracy because the human element is removed. We had previously used a very manual process for performance reviews and had no way of efficiently getting them distributed, collected and tallied.  With regard to goal planning, we had nothing concrete for each of our employees prior to using SuccessFactors.  The Goal Plan feature of SuccessFactors ensures that each of our employees has a written plan that they and their manager can monitor throughout the year.

A key person to our successful implementation of SuccessFactors was Jose, an Aasonn Senior Professional Services Consultant.  We had two human resources managers, each of whom was responsible for the roll out and training of programs to their respective departments.  He worked closely with both managers to develop training programs for our employees on performance reviews and creating goal plans.  He was highly skilled at working with us individually and together to ensure that our training was designed for our specific set up and still consistent across the company.  It was apparent that Jose thoroughly understood the SuccessFactors product and our individualized needs from this program.  The final materials that Jose created were not only very helpful during rollout, they are serving as an excellent resource for our employees today. We appreciate all of Jose's hard work on this very important project.

I just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know how happy I was to have Lyle as a consultant. Lyle helped us achieve our deadline with ease. I cannot tell you how nice it was by the 3rd module to have a consultant that was very knowledgeable about the module (configuration, system, and user standpoint) and was able to understand our process and constraints and suggest "work-arounds". He followed through with all requests in a timely manner. He was also our champion in pushing through fixes or basic enhancements that needed to be done. Finally, I was extremely impressed that he followed up with us after our first Compensation process was complete to address a couple of minor issues that we needed for the next cycle. We felt assured in our final product as he played a very active role in design and testing. If we had to 'do-it-all-over', we would request Lyle as our consultant for all modules. He definitely provided the level of service we needed and expected to be successful.

Wind River Systems
